New senior band toots its own kazoo
It had been a few years since musician Florence Wilber had performed before a live audience, but on Dec. 22, the octogenarian picked up her wind instrument and joined other Arbor Glen residents for a holiday showstopper by the Arbor Glen Kazoo Band.

Halas wraps up ‘09
District Two Collier County Commissioner Frank Halas presented his year-end ‘state of the district’ report to community leaders, Dec. 17, on the brink of his final year in office. Halas’ second term as commissioner will end on Dec. 31, 2010, concluding eight years in office. Halas’ comments on the county’s finances were not optimistic.
