Gulf grouper sport season closes Feb. 1
State regulations prohibit the recreational harvest of all shallow-water groupers — gag, black, red, yellowfin, scamp, yellowmouth, rock hind and red hind — from Feb. 1 through March 31 in all Gulf of Mexico waters off Florida, except in all waters of Monroe County in the Keys.

Big splash: Johnstones to sail J/95 ‘Boat of the Year’ at Naples regatta
This weekend the Johnstones are bringing their latest design to Naples to race in the Avow Hospice Regatta. This J boat (as they're referred to in sailing circles) has already been named 2010 Boat of the Year honors by Sailing World magazine, the premiere publication on sailboat racing.
