House to hear bill named after slain Fort Myers officer
The Officer Andrew Widman Act is scheduled to go before a House committee in Tallahassee on Tuesday. Pretrial proceedings by Representative Nick Thompson for House Bill 89 (Officer Andrew Widman Act) will be considered at the Public Safety and Domestic Security Policy Committee meeting. The bill would give judges the right to deny bail to any violent criminals who commit a felony while on probation.
