Health-care a hot topic as Naples Coffee Party meets, brews Tea Party rivalry

A diverse brew of about 20 people drank coffee and participated in a civil, open forum about hot-button political issues Saturday during the Naples Coffee Party’s second meeting. “There was too much emotion whether I agreed with the (Tea Party) people or not,” said Joe Machaluso, who saw the Coffee Party as a great alternative to the Tea Party. “I figured we would come and discuss issues in a more civil zone, and that’s exactly what happened.” Continue reading
