Basketball: Cougars claim crown from familiar foe
It was a reunion of familiar faces as the Barron Collier and Gulf Coast junior varsity boys basketball teams took to the court Dec. 30. The Holiday JV Basketball tournament featured eight teams from across Lee and Collier County, but it was a resurgence of the rivalary between the Sharks and the Cougars facing off for top honors in the gymnasium at North Collier Regional Park that kept the crowd riveted.
