A long way from home: Gulf Coast High graduate serves as mentor to Afghan national police
The mountains of Afghanistan are a stark contrast to the flat land in Southwest Florida where Jordan Dejesus grew up. Dejesus attended Oak Ridge Middle School and Gulf Coast High School in northern Collier County. Before graduating in 2003, he lettered for three years on the varsity baseball team.
